boy being cared by a children's research hospital
In 1995, this young patient, right center, surrounded by his loving family, arrived from his home in Baghdad at St. Jude's Children's Research hospital. The Hospital has accepted patients from 60 countries, but its ties with the Arab world are particularly strong. The late actor Danny Thomas, the son of Lebanese immigrants, founded St. Jude's in 1962. (Dick Doughty/Aramco World)
