Lawmaker Submits Measure Backing Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation

Washington -- Representative Gary Ackerman (Democrat of New York) introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives July 24 encouraging "full participation" in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Shanghai later this year.

Ackerman submitted House Concurrent Resolution 194 (H. Con. Res. 194) with co-sponsor Representative Steve Chabot (Republican of Ohio).

H. Con. Res. 194 was referred to the House International Relations Committee.
