Bush to Host Tony Blair at Texas Ranch

U.K. is "exceptionally close partner" in war against terrorism

The White House issued the following statement March 7 on British Prime Minister Tony Blair's upcoming visit to President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas:

President and Mrs. Bush will welcome British Prime Minister Blair and his family to their ranch at Crawford, Texas, on April 5-7, 2002. This visit is an important opportunity for the President to spend time with the leader of one of the United States' most important Allies and an exceptionally close partner in the war against terrorism. They will consult about the ongoing campaign against terrorism, as well as other key foreign policy issues.
