Bush, Austrian Chancellor Schuessel to Meet in Washington Nov. 1

To discuss "road ahead in this common task" against terrorism

The following White House statement announces the November 1 meeting in Washington between President Bush and Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel:

Visit To Washington By Austrian Chancellor Schuessel

The President will meet with the Federal Chancellor of Austria, Wolfgang Schuessel, on November 1, 2001. Austria has offered strong support in our struggle against terrorism, and Chancellor Schuessel has expressed this sentiment consistently and firmly. The President welcomes him to Washington for this visit to discuss the road ahead in this common task, and to express his thanks to the Chancellor and the Austrian people for the solidarity they have shown since September 11.
