U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow will travel to London and Frankfurt July 15 through July 18 to "discuss the state of the global economy, with particular attention to growth prospects in Europe," according to the following announcement by the Department of the Treasury:

SECRETARY SNOW TO TRAVEL TO UNITED KINGDOM AND GERMANY

Treasury Secretary John Snow will travel to London, England and Frankfurt, Germany, July 15 through July 18, 2003. Secretary Snow will discuss the state of the global economy, with particular attention to growth prospects in Europe. In addition to meetings with the official economic teams of the United Kingdom and Germany, he will meet separately with economists, and leaders in industry, banking and finance. Secretary Snow will emphasize the importance of flexibility in economic policy needed for increased productivity, economic growth and job creation.
