Text: U.S.-Japan-Australia Strategic Dialogue Discussions Set
(Deputy Secretary of State Armitage to participate June 10) (210)
The State Department issued a press release June 4 noting that Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage will be in Japan June 10 for discussions about the North Korean situation and Iraq reconstruction, among other issues, with high-level Japanese and Australian government officials.

U.S.-Japan and U.S.-Japan-Australia Strategic Dialogue Discussions
Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage and Vice Foreign Minister Yukio Takeuchi of Japan will hold the third round of our bilateral Strategic Dialogue discussion in Tokyo on June 10. On the evening of the 10th, as at previous sessions, Australian Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Dr. Ashton Calvert will join the discussion. The last such meetings were held in Washington in February 2003.
Among the topics to be discussed will be the North Korean situation and cooperation in Iraq reconstruction.
Both Deputy Secretary Armitage and Secretary Calvert will be visiting Tokyo to participate in the Tokyo Conference on Reconstruction and Development of Sri Lanka.
