En route to Berlin from Sofia May 15, Secretary of State Colin Powell reiterated that the United States wants the United Nations Security Council to lift sanctions against Iraq.

SECRETARY POWELL: We are going for the lifting of sanctions. We want to get fifteen to zero like we did with Resolution 1441. I think the lift is achievable.
