The State Department announced April 26 that its annual report on Patterns of Global Terrorism will be released May 1.

NOTICE TO THE PRESS

Annual Terrorism Report

On Monday, May 1 the Department will release the annual report "Patterns of Global Terrorism: 1999."

Secretary Albright will read a statement about the report at 11:45 a.m. in the press briefing room. Immediately thereafter, Ambassador Michael A. Sheehan, U.S. Coordinator for Counterterrorism, will hold an on-the-record press briefing to answer questions about the report. Both events are open for camera coverage.

Copies of the report will be available in the Press Office to journalists starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, embargoed until the conclusion of Ambassador Sheehan's briefing.

The report will be available electronically on the Department's website Monday following the briefing's conclusion. The Internet address is:
