White House Deputy Press Secretary Announces Plans for National Museum of African American History

On Friday, December 28, 2001, the President was pleased to sign in to law H.R. 3442, the National Museum of African American History and Culture Plan for Action Presidential Commission Act of 2001.

This Act authorizes a Commission to develop a plan of action for the establishment of a National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
