Jordan's King to Meet with Bush in Washington February 1

King Abdallah of Jordan will have a meeting and working breakfast with
President Bush in the White House February 1, it was announced January
24.

Following is the text of the White House announcement:

STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY

King of Jordan to Visit Washington

President Bush will welcome King Abdallah of Jordan to Washington for
a meeting and working breakfast on February 1. This will be the
President's third meeting with the King. Jordan is a strong ally and
partner of the United States, and has been a significant contributor
to the campaign against terrorism. The United States and Jordan share
a broad range of bilateral and regional interests. The President looks
forward to his discussions with the King, including on the campaign
against terrorism and the situation in the Middle East.
