Bush-Blair talks "important step" toward coalition in war on terrorism

Following is the text of the White House announcement on the visit to the United States September 20 of British Prime Minister Tony Blair:

Statement by the Press Secretary

President Bush will welcome British Prime Minister Tony Blair for a meeting and a working dinner on September 20, 2001. The United Kingdom has strongly supported the United States in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks. This visit is an important step in President Bush's efforts to build a strong international coalition in the war against terrorism.
