Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
"DEA is the lead Federal agency in enforcing narcotics and
controlled substance laws and regulations." The Administration
maintains liaison with the United Nations, INTERPOL, and other
organizations on matters relating to international narcotics
control programs. It has offices throughout the United States
and in 50 foreign countries.

FATF is an inter-governmental body. This site was established by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

FinCEN is one of the bureaus of the U. S. Department of the Treasury. Its mission is to "foster interagency and global cooperation against domestic and international financial crimes."
National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS)
National Criminal Justice Reference Service acts on behalf of the
agencies of the U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice
Programs, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy. NCJRS
was established by the National Institute of Justice as an
international information clearinghouse.

The page is maintained by the Office of Smoking and Health
(OSH), a division within the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention's National Center For Chronic Disease Prevention and

Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)
CSAP, one of three centers under SAMHSA, "promotes the
development of comprehensive prevention systems suited to
community, State, national and international needs." CSAP's
activities include prevention demonstration programs for
high-risk youth.
The Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug
Prevention
The Center was established by the U. S. Department of Education.
Its mission is to provide nationwide support for campus alcohol
and other drug prevention efforts.
National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug
Information (NCADI)
NCADI is the information service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services. NCADI is " the world's largest resource for current
information and materials about alcohol and other drugs."

NIDA is part of the National Institutes of Health, Public Health

The Institute provides national leadership and conducts and
suppports biomedical and behavioral research, health services

with respect to the prevention of drug abuse and treatment.

The index was developed by the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information.
Reality Check
"Reality Check" is a public education campaign to counter a
resurgence in marijuana use among teenagers. It is run by the
Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.

SAMHSA is part of Public Health Service, Department of Health and
Human Services. "SAMHSA's mission is to assure that quality
substance abuse and mental health services are available to the
people who need them and to ensure that prevention and treatment
