    Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
    "DEA is the lead Federal agency in enforcing narcotics and controlled substance laws and regulations." The Administration maintains liaison with the United Nations, INTERPOL, and other organizations on matters relating to international narcotics control programs. It has offices throughout the United States and in 50 foreign countries.

    Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering (FATF)
    FATF is an inter-governmental body. This site was established by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

    Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)
    FinCEN is one of the bureaus of the U. S. Department of the Treasury. Its mission is to "foster interagency and global cooperation against domestic and international financial crimes."

    National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS)
    National Criminal Justice Reference Service acts on behalf of the agencies of the U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, and the Office of National Drug Control Policy. NCJRS was established by the National Institute of Justice as an international information clearinghouse.

    CDC's Tobacco Information and Prevention Source (TIPS)
    The page is maintained by the Office of Smoking and Health (OSH), a division within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center For Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.

    Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)
    CSAP, one of three centers under SAMHSA, "promotes the development of comprehensive prevention systems suited to community, State, national and international needs." CSAP's activities include prevention demonstration programs for high-risk youth.

    The Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention
    The Center was established by the U. S. Department of Education. Its mission is to provide nationwide support for campus alcohol and other drug prevention efforts.

    National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI)
    NCADI is the information service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NCADI is " the world's largest resource for current information and materials about alcohol and other drugs." Includes a current collection of primary prevention materials. Catalog available online.

    National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
    NIDA is part of the National Institutes of Health, Public Health Service, Department of Health and Human Services. The Institute provides national leadership and conducts and suppports biomedical and behavioral research, health services research, research training, and health information dissemination with respect to the prevention of drug abuse and treatment.

    Media Campaign
    The Office of National Drug Control Policy's (ONDCP) National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign.

    National Substance Abuse Web Index
    The index was developed by the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information.

    Reality Check
    "Reality Check" is a public education campaign to counter a resurgence in marijuana use among teenagers. It is run by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.

    Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
    SAMHSA is part of Public Health Service, Department of Health and Human Services. "SAMHSA's mission is to assure that quality substance abuse and mental health services are available to the people who need them and to ensure that prevention and treatment knowledge is used more effectively in the general health system."

    American Council for Drug Education (ACDE)
    ACDE gathers and monitors current scientific data and develops programs and materials. ACDE library is a good resource of publications and articles.

    CASA Resources & Links
    The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA) list (with links) of groups and organizations involved in substance abuse programs.

    Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA)
    CADCA is working with community coalition members to realize its vision: Drug-free communities.

    Join Together Online
    Join Together Online provides a way for community coalitions to connect with each other and share resources. It is a project of Join Together and is funded by a grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to the Boston University School of Public Health.

    Partnership for a Drug-Free America
    The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a non-profit coalition of professionals from the communications industry.

    Teens in Prevention (TiP)
    TiP is a community-supported network of school based organizations (SBOs) implementing solutions to substance abuse and violence. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) manages the regional network. TiP is training a cadre of teen leaders responsible for prevention programs in the communities they serve.
