THE EHIME MARU TRAGEDY

The Ehime Maru, a Japanese vessel, sank on
February 9, 2001 when the Greenville, a U.S. Navy submarine that was conducting a surfacing exercise, struck it. Nine Japanese passengers and crewmembers were lost.
