National Women's Law Center
The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) was founded in 1972 to improve opportunities for American women and girls in the areas of education, employment, family economic security, and health. Special attention is given to the needs sof low-income women and their families. The Center works to introduce new legislation and have it enforced; litigate ground-breaking cases in state and federal courts; and educate the public on making the law and public policies work for women and their families.
