American Mosques: A Photo Essay

These photographs are provided courtesy of Dr. Omar Khalidi, Agha Khan Foundation Program for Islamic Architecture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Khalidi's essay, Mosque, from Contemporary American Religion, explores the history of Mosques in the United States. In Innovations Through the Ages, which appeared in the March 7, 1999 issue of Dawn magazine Lubna Agha reviews an exhibition of photographs by Dr. Khalidi.
